Live Interactive Video Consultation

Live interactive video consultations are the most effective way to diagnose and treat illnesses from a distance. That’s why TeleFalcon Radiology USA has made them an integral part of our telemedicine solutions. Live interactive video consultations are the future of healthcare, and they're here now at TeleFalcon Radiology USA.

A live, interactive videoconference consultation is one in which the telephysician and the attending physician are present at the same time, but not in the same location. The telephysician is often located either in a special telemedicine facility or in his or her office. The attending physician is at a different location, such as a clinic, nursing home or hospital, and may be accompanied by a telemedicine presenter, who is a staff member at that location. Communication is facilitated typically by using secure digital videoconferencing where the telephysician's image is captured by a video camera, digitized and transmitted over secure, broadband speed telecommunications lines to where the attending physician is located and where it appears on a video screen to for viewing. At the same time, the attending physician's image is captured by a similar process and transmitted to a video screen for viewing by the telephysician. The conversation between the telephysician and the attending physician is captured and transmitted in the same way. The transmission speeds are sufficiently fast that the telephysician and the attending physician can conduct conversations as if they were in the same room and hence the use of the descriptor “live, interactive” for these types of consultations.

NOTE: At times the patient may be present with the attending physician for the consultation.
